DROP IN SEAT DINING PAD
Let’s kick things off with the basics and hit the ground running. Working with a sample frame for a drop in seat pad for a dining chair. you’ll be introduced to all the tools of the trade. You’ll get to grips with the all-important staple gun and upon completion of day one you’ll be able to confidently prep and upholster seat pads. The skills you acquire in Module 1 are not just limited to dining seats. They are transferable to simple footstools, giving you a product range from day one!
CONTEMPORARY STOOL
I designed this sleek and modern stool as a skill-packed powerhouse. Building on the skills from Module 1, we will master making and making and applying piping and sewing and applying a border; learning backtacking in the process.
DEEP BUTTONED FOOTSTOOL
You'll craft your own deep-buttoned stool. From prepping and buttoning to precise fabric measurements, button application, pleating, and finishing touches – you’ll cover it all.
Plus all of the theory will be added to your online membership area to study at your own pace.
FLUTED HEADBOARD
Meet the first of two headboards – not just a piece of furniture, but a canvas for skill-building. Why headboards? Simple. They're a fantastic and accessible gateway to learning new skills, and let's face it – they're all the rage in interior design right now.
Dive into the fluted style, and I'll walk you through some top-notch technical skills. And the best part? These skills are transferable, setting you up to conquer other fluting projects with ease.
DRUM STOOL
The Drum Stool is the perfect interior design piece! Perfect as a stool, coffee table or side table. We’ll focus on some serious sewing skills.
SQUARE BUTTONED HEADBOARD
Next up it’s the second of the two headboards. Whilst I’m teaching this as a headboard, square buttoning is a brilliantly versatile skill, which can be applied to sofas, chairs, footstools, benches and cushions!
SEWN WINDOW BOX CUSHION
This module is a sewing masterclass. Wondering why you should master this technique? Well, it's not just about chairs; think window seats, camper van and caravan cushions, outdoor seat pads – you name it! While we've dabbled in some basic sewing in previous modules, now it's time to up the ante.
