KIRSTY, YOUR FUTURE SELF

WILL THANK YOU.

Hi KIRSTY,

Right… I’ve had a proper think about your next steps.

Firstly — I’m so glad you came yesterday. You really took to it, and I don’t say that lightly.

Also… I think your instinct is spot on.
In your world, where everyone’s styling homes but no one’s actually making upholstered items — upholstery could genuinely set you apart. Not just as content… but as a skill that opens doors.

So I’ve mapped out a clear pathway for you depending on how far you want to take this:

Option 1 — a taste of upholstery

What you’ll make:

  • Large Contemporary Stool

  • Drum Stool

  • Ottoman

Days: 6

Investment: £735

Pros:

  • Great introduction without a big commitment

  • You’ll build confidence quickly

  • A fun, creative few days with solid results

Cons:

  • Skills stay quite surface-level

  • Won’t massively set you apart (yet)

  • You may find yourself wanting more quite quickly

Option 2 — Skill + Stand Out (Recommended)

What you’ll make:

  • Large Contemporary Stool

  • Large Deep Buttoned Footstool (1m x 75cm)

  • Drum Stool

  • Petal Stool (you’d be the first to make this)

  • Ottoman

  • Cocktail Chair

  • Sample Fluted Headboard

  • Sample Statement Shaped Headboard

  • Sample Square Buttoned Headboard

Days: 18

Investment: £2244 (4 payments of £561 available)

Pros:

  • This is where your work starts to look seriously impressive

  • You’ll stand out in your space — not just styling, but creating

  • Strong mix of modern + traditional skills

  • Enough depth to build confidence and consistency

  • Loads of content opportunities (and actually interesting ones)

Cons:

  • Bigger time commitment

  • More investment upfront

  • Headboards are sample size (so less impact than full-scale pieces)

Option 3 — The investment in you

Everything in Option 2, but with:

  • Full-size headboards (single/double)

Investment: £2620 (5 payments of £524 available)

Pros:

  • Proper, portfolio-worthy pieces

  • Work you could confidently sell or commission

  • Strong positioning — this feels high-end

  • Maximum skill development and confidence

  • If you did want to turn this into something more… this is the route

Cons:

  • Highest time and financial commitment

  • More demanding (but in a good way)

My honest take

Option 1 is a great experience…
But I think you’d outgrow it quickly.

Option 2 and 3 are where things start to shift and properly change

And based on how you were yesterday — I don’t think you’re someone who wants to just try things… I think you want to do them properly.

A couple of extras

  • 5% off if you pay in full for Options 2 or 3

  • We can structure the days around your schedule (Thursdays and/ or Fridays)

  • You’ll get proper support throughout (not just teaching and off you go)

  • Access to all the modules in your own online account - to refer back to whenever you need them

  • Additional support such as UK Domestic Fire Regulations

Have a think — and if you want to talk it through, just call or message me on 07557363062.
