LIVE

All of my courses and classroom sessions are held live in the first instance and you can easily see the dates and times in your membership area. I deliver the sessions through Zoom, which is free app that can be downloaded to all devices. I keep my sessions live because I believe it makes the sessions more dynamic and interactive. You are welcome to join live and ask any questions you may have and I will always do my best to give you as much information as possible. But please don’t worry if you can’t join live and still have questions, simply email them in ahead of the session and I will get them answered. If you've never used Zoom, please don't worry, it's really simple and we have a full guide on how to use it.
 Not only do you benefit from having your own questions answered but you hear and benefit from other participant’s questions!

REcorded

Every session is recorded in High Definition. When you join, you will create an account through the website. It is here, in your membership area, where you can watch these recordings at your leisure. Watch them over and over, pause, rewind and refer back, whenever you need it. 
No need to worry about taking loads of indecipherable notes and filling up your phone with tons of photos! The videos will be there forever.

Accessible

I use Zoom to broadcast my live sessions. It’s free for you to use and you can join from any device and from anywhere in the world! As long as you’ve got internet connection, you can join on your phone whilst parked up in your car, on your tablet whilst cooking the dinner or squirreled away in the spare bedroom on your desktop.

I know you’re busy! Busy with family, caring duties, school-run, working, learning and earning; the list goes on. My online learning is there when you have the time, fitting around your schedule.

Multi-camera

Upholstery is detailed and there is no way I could show you the exact point where you need to snip or staple with just one static camera. So I use up to four different camera angles. I can even zoom right in if need be to ensure you never miss a step! I can see all the camera angles at once meaning I can choose which one is best for you to see. 
I know exactly where your focus needs to be and will make sure you see the snip or staple from the best angle and as close up as needs be.

choice

I offer sessions to suit all levels and abilities. You can progress from one stage to another and supplement your practical learning with my virtual classroom sessions and skill-specific videos. 
You don’t need to be limited by what your local college offers. If you just need to learn one specific thing, it’s likely I’ll have a video for just that and if I don’t, then you can book a half hour 1:1 session with me to get specific help or guidance.

Times are hard, so you’ll be glad to know that my online learning is probably one of the most cost-effective ways to learn upholstery when compared to traditional classes. You can choose to pay monthly or pay for 3 or 12 months up front. You can pause or cancel your subscription anytime you like and pick it up again when you need it! I also offer incredible deals on compressor and staple gun kits and frames and sundries to my students!
No need to spend additional valuable time and cash on travelling to classes and pricey hotel fees.

Supportive

I totally get that one of the main benefits of an in-person class is that contact with other like-minded people. Equally I know that’s not for everyone. When you sign up to a course, you will receive an invite to my Facebook group, where you can chat with and seek and offer support with other online students. If that’s not for you, then no worries. Included in my subscription is a monthly 1:1 mentorship and support session, where we will discuss your goals and challenges and I help you reach your goals. 
Classrooms can be busy and loud and often more distracting than anything else. Online learning allows you to set aside the correct time and space to learn effectively.

sustainable

I believe that the upholstery industry has not been held accountable for its actions for long enough! So I want to be a part of the future of the upholstery industry that is cleaner and greener. I do this by replacing almost all of the foam in my courses with a hypoallergenic, chemical free, sustainable alternative. 
With each course purchased I also pay for a tree to be planted in collaboration with One Tree Planted.

Progression

Online learning requires an element of commitment and discipline. Firstly you will need certain tools and equipment in order to practice upholstery but believe me when I say that, the most important thing you need to do when learning upholstery, is practice. My online students are able to practice their craft whenever suits them. Working on your own, outside of a classroom setting means you can just have a go! You will make mistakes, you will remove as many staples as you put in when you first start, but if you can be brave, have a go and permit yourself to make mistakes, then trust me you will break out of your comfort zone and accelerate so much quicker!
With my online club, you can pick learning up as and when you have time and, more importantly, there are no penalties if life throws you a curve ball and you need to look after a poorly child or sort out a broken boiler.
